To secure the best properties, book 8–12 months in advance, for peak season (July–August). Premium villas with pools and along the coast sell out first. How do I get to Istria by plane?

Pula Airport (PUY) has direct flights from several EU airports during the summer (May–October). From there, it is a 40-minute drive to Rovinj, a 90-minute drive to Poreč, and 6 km to Pula city.

Do I need an ETIAS to visit Croatia in 2026?

Croatia is now part of the Schengen zone, and the ETIAS travel authorization system is expected to launch in late 2026. Check the latest status before booking.

Are Istrian beaches suitable for families with children?

Most Istrian beaches are rocky or pebbly, wich requiers water shoes for young children. The best family-friendly options are Pjescana Uvala, Zambratija, and Zlatni rt. Many luxury villas offer private pools and children's play areas.

Can I take a day trip to Venice from Istria?

Yes. Ferry services run from Porec, Rovinj, Pula, and Umag to Venice (May to October). Journey time is 3–4.5 hours. Operators include Adriatic Lines and Venezialine. We suggest booking in advance during peak season.

The Porec and Medulin areas are best for families with young children. Porec has well-developed beach infrastructure, family-friendly restaurants, and flatter terrain easy with pushchairs. Medulin has one of Istria's few sandy beaches with a gentle, shallow entrance ideal for toddlers. Many RLVC villas here include fenced gardens, children's playgrounds, trampolines, and baby-friendly amenities.

Are villas suitable for large groups or weddings?
